At Hardanger Folk Museum we arrange a course in Hardanger
embroidery 23. - 25. September 2016. Let our skilled instructors
show you the secrets and techniques of the embroidery, in the heart
of the area where it once emerged.
From the 17th century onwards women in the region have sewn
Hardanger embroidery as a part of the local costume traditions.
Since then the interest for this unique embroidery has spread to
most parts of the world. Now you can enjoy three days of courses
with lectures and lessons, a guided tour through the largest
collection of Hardanger embroidery in Norway and accommodation and
full board at Utne hotel from 1722.

Prices include 3 nights at the historic Utne Hotel, all meals and
course expenses. Material for sewing comes in addition, price
depends on what course attendants choose to sew.
